[China has approved the release of more than 600 national standards for clean energy such as hydropower and photovoltaics.] On October 14, reporters learned from the World Standards Day themed event co-sponsored by the State Administration for Market Regulation and other four departments that China is the world's largest energy producer and consumer. The development of clean energy industries such as wind power, photovoltaic, nuclear energy, and ultra-high voltage ranks among the top in the world, and standardization work has played an important supporting role. At present, China has approved the release of more than 600 national standards for clean energy such as hydropower, photovoltaic, solar thermal, and hydrogen energy, more than 1,300 group standards, and 345 foreign language versions of national standards. China has taken the lead in formulating and publishing 174 international energy standards, accounting for about 15% of all published international energy standards. China also serves as the secretariat of 10 technical agencies of international standards organizations, including solar energy and mechanical energy storage, and serves as the convener of 34 working groups, making positive contributions to strengthening international cooperation in energy standards and promoting global green transformation. At the theme event, the National Standards Committee released a batch of national standards for clean energy, announcing the "Practice of Transforming Scientific and Technological Achievements into Standardization in the Field of New Energy and Renewable Energy" and the "Blue Book on Standardization of China's Hydrogen Energy Industry (2026)".
