[Shanghai: Strive to achieve an inter-satellite laser communication rate exceeding 400Gbps and a single-star communication capacity reaching 100Gbps] On October 26, six departments including the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission issued the "Shanghai Satellite Internet Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan (2027-2030)". It pointed out that breakthroughs in key technologies for satellite platforms and payloads were made. Focus on researching technologies such as inter-satellite laser communication terminals, satellite-ground distributed lightweight core networks, large-scale phased arrays, EUHT payloads, etc., and strive to achieve inter-satellite laser communication speeds exceeding 400Gbps, single-star communication capacity reaching 100Gbps, and single-array transceiver antennas with no less than 32 beams, etc., to support lightweight, high-performance and low-cost manufacturing of satellite platforms and loads.
