An accident occurred during a live test of a humanoid robot: first it kicked the person down, then broke the glass, and then fell to the ground and convulsed.

Abstract:

On October 8, local time,

The well-known Colombian anchor Westcol launched a Kick live broadcast in Medellin to test a humanoid robot on site. Multiple out-of-control accidents occurred one after another, and the live broadcast video quickly spread across the entire network

. This robot is about 1.7 meters tall and its model is Yushu G1. The anchor calls it T800. It cost more than 100,000 US dollars to purchase and is preparing to be used in the large-scale event "Stream Fighters 5".

The anchor was playing music live and planned to demonstrate the robot's preset dance moves. Unexpectedly, the robot's arm swing accidentally hit the back of his head, causing his center of gravity to become unstable and fall to the ground. Fortunately, the impact did not cause serious injuries, and the live broadcast continued after a short break.

But the accident did not stop.

In the subsequent testing phase, possibly due to an operational error, the robot raised its foot and kicked the display cabinet in the live broadcast room to pieces, instantly shattering the glass on the cabinet door and frightening the two people on the scene to dodge

.

After completing this action, the robot lost its balance and fell to the ground. The body trembled and twitched, and then stopped.

The audience in the live broadcast room witnessed the whole process, and many netizens made fun of it, jokingly calling the robot "rebellious"; the show was so effective that it would be unjustifiable if they didn't put in coins; some people were worried that if humans were to confront this thing one day, they would only get beaten.

So why did such a mistake occur? In fact, there is no need to worry about the machine waking up.

Because this is not an autonomous attack by AI, it is a pre-written dance move. The robot's spatial perception ability is insufficient and it cannot recognize the human body and surrounding objects at close range, so it accidentally knocked down the human with a heavy punch

.

Industry insiders remind that humanoid robots have strong power and high impact of body movements. For live demonstrations at close range, physical isolation and emergency shutdown devices must be installed to prevent safety risks in human-machine interaction.
