Abstract:
As of September 30, Anthropic PBC’s third-quarter revenue was close to US$17 billion, about 12 times that of the same period last year, which will further increase market expectations for a possible record-breaking IPO for this artificial intelligence laboratory.

Anthropic lost $23.3 billion in the three months to the end of September, compared with a net loss of $12.1 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to the company's filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. Operating expenses jumped to $17.5 billion in the quarter, a year-over-year increase of 292%.
Documents show that the company currently has $895 billion in committed expenditures, most of which are related to computing power and infrastructure. About $448 billion of this is expected to occur by the end of 2030, while about $70 billion needs to be paid in the year to September 2027.
Anthropic has submitted initial public offering documents on October 26, and the IPO is expected to be held before the US Thanksgiving holiday. According to people familiar with the matter, Anthropic is seeking to reach or exceed the $86.2 billion raised by SpaceX when it went public.
Previously reported that investors told banks involved in the deal that they believed Anthropic’s reasonable valuation had risen to about $1.4 trillion to $1.5 trillion, but a valuation closer to $1.75 trillion was also possible.
