Abstract:
Apple’s upcoming smart home hub Home Hub is expected to provide a variety of standby interfaces, including a photo interface similar to the iPhone Duo StandBy mode.
The latest leaked settings screen shows that users can select photo albums, memories or shared albums to display the photos on the device screen. Photos will be obtained from iCloud, so using this feature requires turning on iCloud Photos; when activating the device for the first time, the system will prompt the user to set up the photo interface.
The whistleblower said that the home hub and iPhone Duo will use the same photo interface, which may explain why Apple has not yet opened the StandBy mode of iPhone Duo in the Xcode simulator.

Rumors about the appearance say that this hub will be equipped with an approximately 6-inch screen, overall similar to a square version of the iPad, and will use a hemispherical metal base similar to the iMac G4, connected to the screen through a bracket. The device is not expected to have a complete App Store, but it can run applications and widgets such as calendar, weather, music, information, and reminders; it may also sense the user's proximity and distinguish family members to display personalized widgets for different users.
When in standby, users are expected to be able to choose between multiple display interfaces. Bloomberg previously said that the device interface will be heavily designed around clock displays and photo slideshows. The Apple Intelligence home hub will be unveiled on October 13, but the relevant information has not yet been officially confirmed.
