Abstract:
A batch of leaked concept images show that Warner Bros. Games has prepared a cross-IP kart game code-named "Project Moonlight". According to the source, the project was planned to bring together multiple Warner Bros. franchises, but has been cancelled.
Relevant pictures were published by user AusilMVS on the X platform on September 16. According to it, "Project Moonlight" was originally a work similar to "Mario Kart" and "Sonic Racing: Cross World", and the participating drivers will come from different series such as "Looney Tunes" and "Teen Titans".
Bugs Bunny and Cyborg appear in the concept art, and the two characters are wearing costumes with elements of "The Flintstones". The screen also shows karts designed with reference to Princess Bubblegum from "Adventure Time" and bubbles from "The Powerpuff Girls". The visual elements of different works adopt a cartoon-like expression.
Warner Bros. has previously tried to put multiple of its IPs into the same game through "Multiverse Brawl". The game uses platform fighting gameplay and once brought together dozens of Warner Bros. series. However, it ceased operations in 2025 after the number of players dropped and management changes occurred. Existing news claims that the cancellation of "Project Moonlight" is also related to the subsequent performance of the game.
Currently, the only public information available is these concept drawings and the tipster’s description, and the team responsible for the development is not yet clear. The stage at which the project progressed before being canceled has also not been disclosed, so it is not yet confirmed whether it has ever entered formal production, or whether it has only stayed in the conceptual design stage.
