It is understood that Apple’s first foldable screen mobile phone iPhone Duo is exclusively assembled and produced by Foxconn’s Chinese factory. This model is difficult to produce, and the factory is currently fully stocking up to meet production capacity.
Just a few days ago, on October 11, Apple Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan visited the Foxconn Technology Park in Zhengzhou, Henan to inspect the new product line.
Faced with questions from the media about iPhone Duo production capacity at that time, Sabih Khan said that the team has been advancing manufacturing development for this innovative product and is currently expanding production scale in accordance with Apple's consistent high-quality standards.
According to Apple's autumn conference this year, iPhone Duo will be launched in four storage versions of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, priced at 15,999 yuan, 17,999 yuan, 21,499 yuan, and 26,499 yuan respectively. The phone will be available for pre-sale at 8 pm on October 16 and will be officially shipped on October 23.
On the eve of pre-sale, this new foldable phone has become very popular. The number of reservations through JD.com’s self-operated channels alone has exceeded 2 million. This does not include the reservation data from Apple’s official website, Tmall Apple official flagship store and offline Apple Store directly operated stores. For a high-end folding product with a starting price of nearly 16,000 yuan, the reservation data is quite impressive.
