Abstract:
Jianghuai Automobile fell sharply again at the opening. It once fell by more than 8% during the session. As of 10:18 a.m., the decline narrowed to 3.69%. The transaction volume exceeded 2.3 billion yuan, and the latest market value has fallen below the 50 billion yuan mark.
According to previous reports, a test video was released by Dongchedi on October 8. The video shows that when three new Zunjie V800s of different batches were undergoing emergency braking tests from 100 kilometers per hour to stationary in a closed venue, the brake pedal brackets all broke, and the vehicles lost their braking ability and could only rely on P gear for emergency braking. After the video was released, it quickly became popular. Topics such as "Zunjie V800 brake pedal bracket is broken" became hot searches.

The market reacted violently. On October 8, JAC Motors fell by the intraday limit, closing at 24.72 yuan, down 10.01%, and its market value evaporated by about 6.2 billion yuan. On October 9, the market opened with a daily limit of 22.25 yuan, a drop of 9.99%, and the market value further shrunk to approximately 50.1 billion yuan.
On the evening of October 8, Zunjie Auto released a statement on its official Weibo in response, stating that the pedal bracket broke under non-standard extreme test conditions. The brand still hopes to provide users with higher safety redundancy and will further optimize the structural design of the component and provide free upgrade options to all users who have delivered it.
Zunjie customer service subsequently stated that the upgrade plan is expected to be confirmed by the end of October. It is worth noting that Zunjie emphasized that this is an "upgrade" rather than a "recall".
Recently, "People's Daily" commented on this incident, saying that "the brake pedal should never break, say no to fast cars." The competition in my country's automobile market is fierce, and some car companies do not focus on quality but speed. In the end, it was proved that this road will not work. "Quick cars" that pursue the speed of "updating to new technologies" cannot go far or run stably in the market competition.
The "crash car" is an opportunistic way of replacing real road tests with simulation tests. It is a significant reduction in extreme engineering testing, a cutting of corners by deleting verification subjects and skipping verification processes. However, consumers will ultimately pay for these.
"People's Daily" emphasized that safety is an insurmountable red line for the automobile industry, and ensuring safety is the most important function of Chinese automobiles.
For consumers, vehicles do not have to have top acceleration performance or intelligent configurations, but they must not "drop the chain" on the most basic safety issues at critical moments.
