Meta launches AI fashion app Style Sketch to organize social photos into a virtual wardrobe

📅 2026-10-30

Abstract:

Meta quietly launched an AI fashion application called Style Sketch to help users use existing clothes to match their dressing plans. The app can connect to Facebook or Instagram to build a virtual wardrobe from photos previously shared by users; it also supports taking photos of single items, recording short videos, or importing pictures from the mobile phone album.

Style Sketch can recommend outfits based on the clothing in the wardrobe, the user's style and body shape, and present the outfit effects on a virtual model that matches the user's body type and skin tone. Users can also get new outfits based on a certain item, view daily dressing suggestions generated based on the weather, or input travel destinations, trip lengths and planned activities to generate daily outfit and packing plans. The app also provides the ability to browse trend inspiration and share outfits with friends.

This app is currently available on iOS and Android platforms in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand and is free to download. Meta has not said whether it will be launched in other regions. The app store's privacy disclosure shows that Style Sketch may process personal information and user content such as photos and videos; the Google Play page states that data will be encrypted during transmission and allows users to apply to delete data.
