According to Reuters, Elon Musk (Elon Musk) has stopped providing AI models to SpaceX’s programming company Cursor. Musk said Saturday that he simply doesn't care. OpenAI announced on Friday that it plans to stop providing its AI models to Cursor on November 12. "We made this decision because we cannot be confident that SpaceX will use our technology in accordance with our terms of service, given our history of contract breaches by Musk-owned companies," OpenAI said in a blog post. SpaceX acquired Cursor for $60 billion in June this year.
The conflict between Musk and Altman escalates
"I don't care at all. Scam Altman and Greg Stockman are two completely untrustworthy bastards who stole an open source non-profit organization," Musk responded on Saturday. When he wrote their names, he deliberately wrote Sam as Scam and Brockman as Stockman.
OpenAI’s suspension of supply of Cursor represents a further escalation of the conflict between Ultraman and Musk. The two have been feuding for years, a dispute that culminated in a court trial earlier this year over Musk's $150 billion lawsuit against OpenAI.
During the trial, Musk’s lawyers stated that Musk and other witnesses had testified that Altman was a liar. OpenAI argued that Musk had tried to control OpenAI.
However, Cursor co-founder and current SpaceX executive Michael Truell said on X that the company is communicating with the OpenAI team to resolve this issue.
A few hours after OpenAI’s announcement, Anthropic, which competes with both companies but maintains ongoing cooperation with SpaceX, said it plans to increase computing power to support the Claude model in Cursor.
