Abstract:
OpenAI announced a number of work-oriented features at the Developer Day event, including ChatGPT Spaces, a shared space for colleagues, ChatGPT and OpenAI’s new personal agent Dots to use team materials together. Files uploaded by users and colleagues, as well as content generated through ChatGPT, can be centrally organized in the team space for easy search and collaboration.
Spaces will be available to Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers, initially on the ChatGPT desktop application and web version, and later expanded to mobile. The accompanying meeting plug-in can record the meeting content and generate summaries and to-do items, and then add the results to the team space; after the notes are generated, the plug-in will delete the recorded audio. The plug-in is first available to Pro and Business users in the macOS version of ChatGPT, and Enterprise users will also gain access later.
In response to data protection concerns caused by the possible existence of sensitive information in team spaces, OpenAI stated that its Private Intelligence system is designed to help companies use cutting-edge artificial intelligence with more confidence and protect corporate data.
In addition, Business and Enterprise users can use ChatGPT in Slack and Microsoft Teams to mention "@ChatGPT" in channels, private messages and discussion threads, such as generating slides based on conversation content. With administrator or user authorization, the chatbot can also connect to tools that the user has associated in Slack and Teams.
OpenAI also launched the Pages document function, where users can generate text, charts, pictures and visual content and share it with colleagues for feedback. Collaborative slideshows that support export to PowerPoint and Google Slides will be rolled out in the coming weeks; users will also be able to create shareable profiles showcasing their web apps and plug-ins for others to view and use.
