RISC-V's first Hong Kong stock listing, the father of BOE rings the bell again

📅 2026-10-09

Abstract:

Beijing Yiswei Computing Technology Co., Ltd. was officially listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today, becoming the true "RISC-V first stock" in the global capital market. The offer price is HK$1.55 per share (approximately RMB 1.32), and the market value exceeds HK$31.9 billion (approximately RMB 27.2 billion).

Yiswei Computing was founded by Wang Dongsheng, founder of BOE. After resigning from BOE in 2019, Wang Dongsheng devoted himself to the semiconductor field and entered the chip industry using RISC-V+AI as the base. Co-founder and Vice Chairman Wang Bo has more than 20 years of experience in Intel R&D and management. Chairman and CEO Mi Peng and President and COO Hu Weihao are all from the BOE system.

The RISC-V track that Yisiwei Computing has entered is ushering in a historic opportunity. Ni Guangnan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, pointed out not long ago that RISC-V has officially occupied 25% of the global processor market, and the duopoly pattern of x86 and ARM is loosening.

According to Frost & Sullivan,

China's RISC-V main control chip market will grow from 1.1 billion yuan in 2021 to 37.7 billion yuan in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 139.5%, and is expected to exceed 219.4 billion yuan in 2030.

In terms of revenue in 2025, Yiswei Computing is China's largest provider of domestic intelligent terminal human-computer interaction chips, ranking first among domestic suppliers with a market share of 5.7%; ranking fifth among Chinese RISC-V main control chip providers and third among domestic suppliers.

The company has built three major product matrices: "human-computer interaction chips - embodied intelligence chips - edge computing and intelligent computing center AI chips". Human-computer interaction chips will generate revenue of 1.856 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for 76.3% of total revenue; computing chip revenue will increase from 375,000 yuan in 2023 to 320 million yuan in 2025.

In terms of commercialization, its RISC-V automotive-grade AI MCU EAM2011 has been introduced into the supply chains of mainstream automakers such as SAIC, BYD, and Chery. The world's first RISC-V architecture consumer-grade AI NAS, jointly built with Jispace, is planned to be mass-produced and released in the fourth quarter of 2026.

As of March 2026, the company has launched more than 150 software and hardware collaboration products, has a total of more than 620 IP modules, more than 20 serialized RISC-V cores, the total number of patent applications has exceeded 1,740, and it serves 220 customers around the world.

The listing of Yiswei Computing is a landmark breakthrough for China's chip industry in the open architecture track.

The key to whether RISC-V can truly secure the third pole of global computing architecture lies in whether it can connect IP, chips, tool chains, certifications, customers and ecology into a complete closed business loop.
