RTX 5090 removed from NVIDIA official store, triggering speculation about production discontinuation and new product replacement

📅 2026-10-16

Abstract:

NVIDIA's flagship consumer graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5090, was recently found to have been removed from the company's official online store. This move quickly triggered speculation in the industry that the product may be discontinued or will be replaced by subsequent models. Since the RTX 5090 is one of the most high-end models in the Blackwell architecture consumer product line, its status changes have attracted widespread attention in the hardware market.

According to reports, when users recently visited Nvidia’s official mall, they found that the RTX 5090 product page no longer displays or provides purchase options. This graphics card has long been sold through official channels. Although RTX 5090 graphics cards from third-party partners are still sold in some markets, the changes in the official mall are considered unusual.

This situation comes as rumors on the market that NVIDIA is preparing to launch a new flagship graphics card RTX 5090 SUPER or other upgraded models are heating up. There have been many rumors in the industry that Nvidia plans to launch new products with higher-specification graphics memory configurations to further improve AI computing and high-end gaming performance. Therefore, the RTX 5090 suddenly disappeared from the official store, which was regarded by some observers as a potential signal for product line adjustment.

However, there is currently no evidence that the RTX 5090 has been officially discontinued. It is not uncommon for hardware manufacturers to adjust official website display, inventory management or sales strategies during the product life cycle. The removal of a product from the official mall sometimes only means that the inventory has been sold out, regional sales policies have changed, or market space has been made for upcoming new versions. It does not necessarily mean that the product will be withdrawn from the market immediately.

It is worth noting that the life cycles of recent generations of GeForce flagship graphics cards are generally shorter than in the past. As AI computing demands continue to grow, NVIDIA needs to balance advanced process capacity between gaming graphics cards and data center products. It also tends to launch newer models at a faster pace to maintain its leading position in the high-performance graphics card market.

Analysts believe that if the RTX 5090 does enter the later stages of its life cycle, Nvidia is likely to announce subsequent high-end product plans in the coming months. But before an official announcement is made, the disappearance of the RTX 5090 from the mall is not enough to prove that it has been discontinued. At present, consumers can still purchase related products through some cooperative brands and retail channels, so the market is more inclined to regard this incident as a warm-up signal before the release of new products, rather than confirmed product withdrawal news.
