In May this year, China Railway Express, a subsidiary of the China Railway Group, announced the launch of the "High-Speed Rail Express" product, mainly for customers with emergency transportation needs, such as business letters, tender contracts, fresh gifts, valuables, emergency medicines and personal belongings.According to the official introduction of Railway 12306, since the service was officially launched, it has expanded its network three times, and the number of service cities has expanded from 40 to 141.
It currently covers provincial capitals, municipalities and major cities across the country (except for the Tibet Autonomous Region and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions), effectively meeting the demand for urgent shipments, and the average daily order volume has rapidly increased to more than 100 orders.
As of September 7, more than 7,000 orders have been processed.
"High-speed rail express delivery" adopts the method of immediate collection, immediate transportation and immediate delivery. Between major domestic cities, high-speed passenger EMU trains are used as the main trunk line transportation capacity, and are efficiently connected and sent to the same city at both ends to pick up delivery riders, achieving "online ordering and door-to-door same-day delivery without leaving home."
After users place an order through the "China Railway Express" WeChat official account, riders in the same city will pick up the goods immediately and deliver the goods directly to the high-speed rail station.The high-speed rail train has the fastest shipping time. After arriving in the same city, the riders pick up the goods at the high-speed rail station, and then make a special trip to carry out the "last mile" delivery to deliver the goods safely and on time.
According to the official introduction, currently "High Speed Rail Express" can place orders by scanning the QR code or searching the "China Railway Express" WeChat official account.
Within high-speed rail urban agglomerations, it takes an average of 4 hours for same-day delivery; across urban agglomerations, it takes an average of 8 hours for same-day delivery.
In terms of fees, the "High-speed Rail Express" service will adopt a fixed-price model based on mileage, as detailed below:
Within 600 kilometers: 0~5 kg 150 yuan, 5~20 kg 200 yuan.
Within 601~1000 kilometers: 0~5kg 230 yuan, 5~20kg 290 yuan.
More than 1,000 kilometers: 0~5 kg 280 yuan; 5~20 kg 340 yuan.
However, this price is not the full price, but the price between high-speed rail stations. It does not include pickup and delivery fees, so the actual cost will be higher.
