If you have been delaying upgrading or migrating the once glorious CentOS Linux 7, it is now less than a week away from its official end. The phase-out date for CentOS Linux 7 is still scheduled for June 30.
As part of the shift in focus to CentOS Stream, Red Hat made the controversial move as early as 2020 to focus all CentOS features on Stream, and will retire CentOS 7 as the last non-Stream supported version in June 2024.
Those still relying on CentOS 7 in production can migrate to paid Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, which has lifecycle support extended until 2028.
CentOS7 users can also migrate/upgrade to community alternatives such as AlmaLinux, RockyLinux, SUSELibertyLinux, etc.
