On October 25, Xiaomi officially released the Mi 14 series at today’s press conference. Lei Jun said that Xiaomi Mi 14 is a small-sized all-round flagship, a leapfrog upgrade compared to the previous generation, and a leapfrog benchmark for the iPhone 15 Pro. Equipped with the just-released third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, Xiaomi Mi 14 starts at 3,999 yuan, and Mi 14 Pro starts at 4,999 yuan. In addition, the 14 series also launches a titanium special edition priced at 6,499 yuan.
The side bezel of Xiaomi Mi 14 is 1.71mm and the width is 71.5mm. Compared with the iPhone 15 series, the overall display area has increased by 6.4%. The screen uses a new generation of screen luminous material C8 (1.5K460PPI, 6.36 inches). 3000nit is also Xiaomi’s highest brightness screen to date.
Xiaomi Mi 14 Pro uses a 6.73-inch 2K super visual sense screen with 522PPI screen pixels. It also uses C8 luminescent material, 3000nit peak brightness, supports 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, DC dimming, bright and more eye-friendly.
Xiaomi debuted Dragon Crystal glass, which is harder, more scratch-resistant and more resistant to drops. It was first used on the 14Pro model. Dragon crystal glass can improve the drop resistance of the mobile phone by 10 times. Compared with Apple's super ceramic glass, the hardness is 5% higher, and the drop resistance performance is improved by 20%.
In terms of camera, Xiaomi Mi 14 uses a 50-megapixel main camera + 50-megapixel floating telephoto + 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle Leica image combination. The main camera uses the first-ever Light Hunter 900 image sensor, which has a super large aperture of f/1.6. The amount of light admitted is 180% of the previous generation, making the picture brighter, the shutter speed faster, and it can also bring a more natural blur effect.
Xiaomi Mi 14 Pro uses the new Leica "Summilux" optical lens, combined with the new "Light Hunter 900" sensor, and is the first to have a 1024-level variable aperture.
