On October 24, on the eve of the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show, the Infiniti VisionQe concept car made its world debut. This car is the first electric model launched by the Infiniti brand. During the event, Infiniti also announced new future product plans, including a new generation of Infiniti QX80, Infiniti QX65, Infiniti Vision QXe, etc.

The Infiniti VisionQe concept car is positioned as a pure electric Fastback coupe model. The light stripe and fold line on the front face form a new design language for Infiniti electric cars. Digital piano key-like lines outline the shape of the headlights, grille, and lower surrounds. Together with the glowing Infiniti LOGO, the entire front face is like a ball of flames ready to go.

VisionQe adopts a large fastback design, and the smooth and undulating profile of the car side makes the vehicle look powerful. The two-color wheels with a mechanical texture surface make this sense of power well-targeted. The lines of the roof are silky and smooth, extending to the rear of the car to form a duck tail shape, which naturally integrates with the tail light strip. Golden luminous logos can also be found on the front fenders and hubcaps. According to official disclosures, Infiniti VisionQe uses a unique blue-gold paint, and the color will change dynamically in the sunlight.

The light strip taillights echo the headlights. The rear of the car does not use Infiniti's traditional LOGO, but is equipped with luminous INFINITI letters, which looks more sci-fi. The design ingenuity of the concept car is also reflected in the rear surround. The origami-style surface is dotted with the English nameplate of VisionQe, which is very recognizable.

During the event, Infiniti also announced new product plans for the future, including the new generation of Infiniti QX80, Infiniti QX65, Infiniti VisionQXe, etc. Among them, the new QX80 concept car has made its world debut during the 2023 Pebble Beach Auto Show, and the production version will be launched overseas in 2024; the Infiniti QX65 is inherited from the Infiniti FX series and is positioned as a younger crossover SUV; the Infiniti Vision QXe will be Infiniti's first pure electric SUV model. These models all represent Infiniti's new design direction in the future and are a concrete manifestation of the "Artistry in Motion" concept, which combines evocative and clever design with powerful and elegant sports performance.

This product refresh marks that Infiniti will accelerate the implementation of the "Ambition2030" long-term plan. Nissan has previously stated that it plans to launch 23 electrified models by fiscal year 2030, including 15 pure electric models, and electrified models of the Nissan and Infiniti brands will account for more than 50%. Nissan plans to achieve carbon neutrality throughout its operations and product lifecycle by 2050.
