The Microsoft Flight Simulation development team recently announced an update to the latest version of the game. "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024" now provides access to the in-game market, where a large amount of content has been ported from the previous game and optimized for the new game. Additionally, the developers have released another world update that provides more details for some South American countries.
Speaking of the South American country, Brazil's world-famous jet manufacturer Embraer has teamed up with Microsoft Flight Simulator developers to bring its iconic aircraft into the game. Embraer jets are coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator as part of the game's "Expert Series," starting with the Embraer Praetor 600.
Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, announced the partnership on the official website:
We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Embraer, one of the leaders in the global aerospace industry. Embraer’s state-of-the-art fleet and focus on innovation make it the perfect partner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Our goal is to bring many of Embraer’s aircraft models into the simulation as part of the ‘Expert Series’, starting with the popular Embraer Praetor 600, which will be released on the simulator later this year.
Praetor600 is a super midsize jet first launched by Embraer in 2018 and is an upgraded version of Legacy500. The aircraft is capable of intercontinental flights from New York to London without refueling. It also features state-of-the-art avionics, a full fly-by-wire system and a wealth of amenities and comfort for passengers.
While not many people can fly this aircraft in the real world, PC and Xbox players will soon be able to experience it in Microsoft Flight Simulator without having to spend more than $20 million to purchase it.
So far, there's no information on when Embraer's Praetor 600 and other jets will be operational in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Embraer says Praetor600 will be coming to the game "late 2025."
