Microsoft announced,Bing Image CreatorOpenAI’s latest version is now available for freeGPT-4o image generation model. Earlier this year, OpenAI integrated image generation capabilities directly into GPT-4o, no longer relying on standalone models such as DALL-E.

The GPT-4o model excels at accurately rendering text and accurately following user prompts using its rich knowledge and conversational context. It also allows users to edit uploaded images or use uploaded content as a creative reference to generate new visual effects. Because the updated model is capable of creating more detailed images, image rendering times are longer compared to the Dall-E 3 model.

Based on user feedback, Bing Image Creator will continue to offer the legacy DALL-E 3 model as well as the new GPT-4o image generation model. Users can choose their favorite model when creating an image. As before, Bing Image Creator remains free to use and offers 15 quick builds. Once this limit is reached, each image generated quickly will cost 10 Microsoft Rewards points. However, users can continue to generate an unlimited number of images at standard speed.

The Bing team shared the following update regarding the availability of GPT-4o models in Bing Image Creator:

We know that without freedom, creativity is meaningless. So now, with just one click, you can switch models to DALL-E3 and not only quickly generate AI images, but also get more options - all while retaining the look and feel you're familiar with from Bing Image Creator.

The updated Bing Image Creator can be accessed through bing.com/create, the Bing mobile app, Copilot Search, or by typing prompts directly into the Bing search bar or Edge address bar. If you have a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team or Free account, you also get free access to the GPT-4o image generation model.
