China Three Gorges Corporation recently issued a document saying,The world's largest offshore wind farm with single unit capacity - Fujian Pingtan Offshore Wind Farm is connected to the grid at full capacity to generate electricity.According to reports, the Pingtan offshore wind farm in Fujian is about 35 kilometers offshore and the water depth is about 40 meters.A total of 11 offshore wind turbines have been built in the wind farm, including the 16 MW offshore wind turbine with the largest unit capacity currently in production in the world, with a total installed capacity of 111 MW.
After the project is fully put into operation, the annual grid-connected electricity will be about 360 million kilowatt-hours, which can replace 103,800 tons of standard coal every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 283,800 tons.
Among them, the largest 16-megawatt offshore wind turbine uses a four-pile jacket wind turbine foundation with a hub center height of 152 meters, which is approximately equivalent to the height of a 52-story building.
The engine room and generator combination weighs 385 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of 190 off-road vehicles.
The blade is 123 meters long and a single blade weighs 54 tons. The impeller sweep area is about 50,000 square meters, which is about the size of 7 standard football fields.
The impeller of the unit has a diameter of 252 meters. When operating at rated power, it can generate 34.2 degrees of electrical energy per rotation, which can be used by a family of three for a week.
This 16-megawatt wind turbine is the wind turbine with the largest unit capacity, the largest impeller diameter, and the lightest weight per megawatt that has been put into production in the world. It is completely independently developed, designed and manufactured by my country. It can produce more than 66 million kilowatt-hours of "green electricity" every year.
