Recently, Stefanie Wurst, senior vice president of the MINI brand of the BMW Group, said in an interview with the media:MINI's classic model "CLUBMAN" will soon be discontinued, and there is currently no direct replacement.
To this end, BMW MINI will launch the final edition of MINICLUBMAN Final Edition to end this series of classic models with a history of more than 50 years.
It is reported that,The MINICLUBMAN limited edition will be delivered in October this year, with a global limit of 1,969 units. This number is to echo the year 1969 when MINIClubman was born.
As a model that focuses on practicality, the new car adopts a six-door, five-seater design, and the iconic split tailgate further enhances the car's convenience.
In terms of appearance, the new car will be available in three colors: white, black, and silver. The grille frame, body embroidery, and wheel hubs are all decorated in bright copper. The "1of1969" on the C-pillar reflects the uniqueness of the car.
Entering the car, the new car adopts a new color design. The entire interior is composed of black and brown, and the seat style is very retro. The center console and steering wheel also have the words "Final Edition" and "1OF1969", and the sports steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather.
In terms of motivation,MINICLUBMAN Final Edition provides COOPER and COOPERS power levels.For reference, the current MINICOO PERCLUBMAN sold in China is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 100 kilowatts and a peak torque of 220 N·m;
MINICOOPERSCLUBMAN is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 131 kW and a peak torque of 280 N·m. The transmission system is a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
Although CLUBMAN is a very important model in the history of MINI's development, the car's sales are increasingly bleak, and the future is obviously not promising. Coupled with the rapid development of electrification, it is hinted that this classic model will be discontinued.
