[The "Shandong Provincial Data Regulations" will be implemented on December 1, delineating red lines for data crawling, algorithmic discrimination and other behaviors] September 24th, according to Shandong's announcement, on the afternoon of September 23, the 26th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Shandong Provincial People's Congress voted to pass the "Shandong Provincial Data Regulations". The regulations include eight chapters and 66 articles, and will be implemented on December 1, 2026. In terms of strengthening the protection of data rights and interests, the regulations standardize the definition of data holding, use, operation and other rights and interests by category and scenario, and improve the data property rights registration system. The regulations are connected with the Personal Information Protection Law, clarifying the rules and requirements for data processors to collect and process personal information-related data, and delineating legal red lines for data crawling, algorithmic discrimination and other behaviors.
