The Second World Humanoid Robot Games was held at the "Ice Ribbon" of the National Speed Skating Arena in Beijing from August 22 to 26.
666 teams and 2,056 humanoid robots from 16 countries on five continents competed in 51 events and 1,301 competitive duels.
After the event concluded, the Beijing Daily client released the final medal list.Tiangong Team topped the list with a total of 9 medals, 5 golds and 4 bronzes. (The medal list is at the end of the article)
It is understood that the most outstanding thing in the Tiangong team's road to victory is the "face-covering running". In the 400-meter small group finals, the Tiangong Omni robot won the championship with a time of 45.66 seconds. During the running process, the unique "face-covering running" running posture quickly became popular on the field, and was called "shy running posture" by netizens.
The Tiangong team had previously stated that its goal was to exceed the human world record of 43.03 seconds. Although it failed to break through due to time penalties, the championship result was still far ahead of other participating robots.

The competition for the second place in the medal list is equally fierce. Shanghai Zhiyuan team is closely behind Tiangong with 4 golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze, with a total of 9 medals. Chengdu Zhiyuan team ranks third with 4 golds and 1 bronze.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that Zhiyuan Robot won 18 golds, 16 silvers and 12 bronzes with its full-scale production model in its first competition. If calculated based on corporate mergers, the Zhiyuan team ranked first in total gold medals and medals, and its dexterous hands won 7 gold medals in eight special competitions. Among them, Tianzhuo team and Tianjiao team ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
Judging from the distribution of medals, the participating teams in this event cover a wide range. Not only well-known robotics companies such as Yushu Technology and Galaxy General participated in the competition, but also joint teams from universities such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Wuhan University, and Peking University competed on the same stage. Even the joint team of Beijing Dance Academy and Zhiyuan Robot also won a gold medal.
As for overseas teams, HTWK Robots from Germany, whIRLwind Amsterdam from the Netherlands, and SPQR Team from Italy also received medals.
It is reported that this event has been expanded from the first 3 days and 6 competition units to 5 days. It is divided into two categories: competitive competition and scene competition, covering various events such as track and field, football, basketball and dexterity operation.
