Galaxy Power’s medium and large reusable liquid launch vehicle Pallas 1 successfully made its first flight and entered the stage of solid-liquid two-wheel drive

Abstract:

On September 1, Galaxy Power Aerospace officially announced that at 10 o'clock today, the medium-to-large reusable liquid launch vehicle Zhishenxing-1 (Yao-1) independently developed by Galaxy Power Aerospace was ignited and lifted off at the dedicated launch station in the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone in Jiuquan, successfully sending the payload into the predetermined orbit. This first flight marks that Galaxy Power has officially formed a product matrix for the coordinated development of the "Ceres" series of solid rockets and the "Plasma" series of liquid rockets, and entered a new stage of simultaneous solid-liquid and two-wheel drive.


Pallas 1 is a two-stage configuration (optional upper stage), with a total length of 52 meters, a core diameter of 3.35 meters, a take-off mass of about 283 tons, and a take-off thrust of 350 tons. The LEO carrying capacity can cover the mainstream load requirements of 5 to 7 tons in a single launch of the current low-orbit constellation network, and it is designed to be reused no less than 25 times. Its main power is the CQ-50 (CQ-50) pin-bolt reusable liquid oxygen/kerosene engine independently developed by Galaxy Power. The first stage adopts a seven-engine parallel scheme and has fault redundancy capabilities. When a single engine fails, the remaining six engines can still guarantee the mission.

Galaxy Dynamics stated that it will gradually carry out sub-stage re-entry control, grid rudder work, braking deceleration and sea/land fixed-point recovery verification, and ultimately achieve normalized high-frequency reuse. Up to now, Galaxy Power has successfully carried out 22 launches into orbit and sent 89 commercial satellites into predetermined orbits. The dedicated launch station (Phase I) of the "Plasma" series used for this launch was built by Galaxy Power itself, marking the company's closed-loop capability of the entire chain from research and production to testing and launch.
