Abstract:
Technology giant Meta officially released "Horizon Create", a new game and interactive experience creation tool suite for the Horizon platform, at its Meta Connect developer conference. This suite deeply integrates generative artificial intelligence technology into the development process of virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) content, aiming to significantly lower the threshold for ordinary users and independent developers to create three-dimensional games and virtual spaces in the Metaverse ecosystem.

According to the official introduction, Horizon Create integrates a series of intelligent auxiliary functions based on large language models and three-dimensional generative models. Developers only need to input commands using natural language, and the system can automatically generate complex 3D scene components, material textures, environmental sound effects, and basic code scripts. For creators without programming or 3D modeling experience, the smart prompts and visual node editor provided by the suite can transform ideas into interactive virtual experiences in real time, while professional developers can fine-tune and secondary develop the generated content through the in-depth code editor.
Meta emphasized at the press conference that the prosperity of content supply is the core driving force for the long-term growth of the Metaverse platform. In the past, because VR/MR game development involved complex rendering optimization, spatial interaction logic and high modeling costs, the production cycle of high-quality content was generally long. By fully introducing generative AI on the creative side, Horizon Create can shorten 3D assets and gameplay prototypes that originally took weeks to produce to just minutes, effectively solving the supply bottleneck of the platform's content ecosystem.
In addition, Meta also announced that Horizon Create will natively support cross-device collaboration and real-time cloud deployment. Creators can synchronize multi-player online creations on Quest headsets or desktops, and publish completed works to the Horizon Worlds platform with one click for global players to experience. Industry analysts believe that Meta’s move not only directly targets sandbox creation platforms such as Roblox, but also marks the full penetration of generative AI from the traditional field of Vincentian pictures and Vincentian videos to the field of complex real-time three-dimensional interactive content.
