Abstract:
Motorola’s long-awaited large-size foldable screen mobile phone has been further exposed recently. Following previous sporadic rumors about the device, the latest information not only reveals the product naming scheme, but also the complete core specifications including screen, chip, camera and battery.
According to leaked information, this product will be named Moto Book 60 Fold and will become Motorola’s new flagship model in the folding screen market. Different from the up and down folding design of the existing Razr series, this product adopts a large folding form similar to the unfolding method of a book, directly entering the market field that competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.
Judging from the screen configuration, the new phone will be equipped with an 8.7-inch foldable internal screen with a resolution of 2912×2304, supporting a 165Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming. At the same time, the outside is also equipped with a 6.4-inch secondary screen with a resolution of 2670×1080, which also supports 165Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming.
In terms of performance, Moto Book 60 Fold will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest flagship platform Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 7 processor, and provide 16GB of running memory and up to 1TB of storage space. This means that the machine will directly target the high-end market and use flagship-level performance as one of its main selling points.
The imaging system also reaches flagship level.
Exposure information shows that the three rear camera combinations of the machine all use 50-megapixel sensors. The main camera supports optical image stabilization and has a large aperture of F1.6; the ultra-wide-angle lens supports macro shooting; and the telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.
On the front side, both the internal and external screens are equipped with a 50-megapixel selfie camera. In terms of hardware specifications, it has reached the very high level of the current smartphone market.
Battery life is also one of the key points in this exposure.
Moto Book 60 Fold will have a built-in 6000mAh large-capacity battery and support 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. For a large foldable device, this battery capacity is significantly higher than most similar products currently on the market.
In terms of body design, Motorola is expected to continue to cooperate with Pantone to launch special color schemes. Leaked information shows that the new phone will offer at least two different color options and continue to emphasize high-end materials and thin and light body design.
At the same time, the machine will also support IP protection level, side fingerprint recognition and complete flagship connectivity capabilities, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth new standards and satellite communication related functions.
Industry insiders believe that this product indicates that Motorola is accelerating its layout in the large folding market. In the past few years, Motorola has mainly relied on the Razr series to establish its brand influence in the vertical folding field, and the Book 60 Fold means that the company has begun to fully enter the horizontal folding track.
Judging from the currently exposed specifications, Motorola clearly hopes to form a differentiated competitive advantage through an oversized internal screen, high refresh rate display, flagship imaging system and ultra-large battery capacity.
If all these configurations are ultimately true, then the Moto Book 60 Fold will become one of the highest-spec and most flagship folding screen products in Motorola’s history, and will also directly participate in the next generation of high-end folding mobile phone market competition.
