Abstract:
On October 9, according to Bloomberg, Blue Origin was valued at US$140 billion in its latest round of financing, boosting its founder Jeff Bezos’ personal wealth by US$87 billion (approximately 580 billion yuan), making him the second richest person in the world.

Bezos
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows that Bezos's current net worth is US$368.5 billion, surpassing Larry Page, co-founder of Google's parent company Alphabet, and second only to Elon Musk, who has a net worth of US$1.02 trillion.
Investor enthusiasm for space companies has been a major driver of wealth growth for Bezos and Musk this year. Musk, 55, became a trillionaire after SpaceX went public in June. Although the company's stock price has fallen, Musk's net worth has increased by $405 billion this year.
According to private equity market data provider PitchBook, Coatue Management is the only new investor disclosed in Blue Origin’s current round of financing, investing approximately US$4 billion. Bezos has previously invested in Coatue's funds.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, after completing this round of financing, Bezos holds 93% of Blue Origin’s shares. Musk holds about 35% of SpaceX, excluding options and restricted stock.
As of press time, Bezos has not yet commented.
