Tesla Cybercab Halloween activity, carrying skeletons on a wild ride at night

📅 2026-11-02

Abstract:

Tesla's official Robotaxi account released an interesting promotional video during the Halloween weekend.

A Cybercab driverless taxi was cruising the streets at night. Two skeletons were sitting in the car. Green ambient lights illuminated the entire cockpit. The steering wheel was empty because the Cybercab had no steering wheel at all.

The approximately 19-second video was released on Friday night and was filmed by a vehicle traveling parallel to the scene. In the picture, a yellow Cybercab travels through the night, the green light inside the car flashes, and two skeletons sit on the seats. The visual impact of driverless driving is directly full.

Tesla did not launch it as a new Halloween mode or software feature, it was just seasonal marketing for Robotaxi operating accounts.

Earlier on the same day, the account also posted a message reminding users to "make a wise decision this weekend and take a Robotaxi home", taking advantage of the Halloween party peak to drive demand for nighttime travel.

Behind this wave of marketing is the intensive expansion of Robotaxi services. A few days ago, Tesla just extended its operating hours from midnight to 2 a.m., achieving a total of 20 hours of operation from 6:00 a day to 2:00 the next day.

At the same time, a new Share function is added to allow passengers to share itineraries, Calm Mode turns off the FSD visual interface to create a relaxing atmosphere, and Dallas and Houston also launched a free trial activity of $0 for the first order.

The fleet size is also expanding rapidly. When Cybercab debuted in Austin on June 22, there were only a few vehicles. By early October, it had exceeded 300 vehicles, an increase of 8 times in one month. As of the end of October, the total number of Texas Robotaxi fleet was close to 1,000 units, of which Cybercab accounted for nearly half. Dallas and Houston were launched simultaneously on April 18, and Cybercab was officially mass-produced at the Texas Gigafactory on April 25, with production capacity continuing to climb.

Tesla was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. It is the world's leading electric vehicle and autonomous driving company and will be listed on Nasdaq in 2020. The company's product lines cover the Model 3/Y/S/X passenger car series and Cybercab driverless taxis. Robotaxi services currently cover American cities such as Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Miami.
