Abstract:
The sampling progress of Intel's next-generation Nova Lake processors has been exposed recently. Information revealed that Intel is implementing strict internal controls on some models with special packages, which makes it extremely difficult for detailed parameters of the top models of this series to leak out at this stage.
According to information provided by senior whistleblower Jaykihn, models labeled as DS variants internally by Intel were subject to independent and strict sampling restrictions in the early development stage.

You must know that DS stands for dual computing module, that is, two computing core modules are integrated into one CPU. This design usually corresponds to high-performance flagship products and aims to increase the number of cores and parallel computing capabilities through modular stacking.
Previous news confirmed that these DS chips will be commercialized under the BFC brand when they are launched. The BFC version can be understood as Intel's large cache version for games and high-load tasks, which integrates bLLC's large-capacity last-level cache.
This design concept is similar to competitors' 3D V-Cache technology, aiming to significantly reduce memory access latency.
At present, there have been no actual leaks of BFC chips on the market. The main reason is that Intel has adopted confidentiality methods similar to AMD's approach to specific top models.
Although the BFC model is listed as the first Nova Lake product to be launched, its large-scale QS release plan is scheduled for December 2026.
This means that the regular version of Nova Lake may enter the testing phase earlier, but the most powerful version is still locked in the laboratory.
