Abstract:
Reporter Mark Gurman once revealed that Apple was considering launching a new Apple Pencil for the iPhone Duo, but he thought it was unlikely that Apple would eventually implement it.
Gurman recently said that supporting Apple Pencil has always been in the development plan of iPhone Duo, and Apple has also designed the product to be compatible with Apple Pencil.
However, Apple originally planned to develop a new Apple Pencil for iPhone Duo. This pen is smaller and fits on the hinge side of the iPhone Duo.
Judging from the test plan, the length of this Apple Pencil is shorter than the version used on the iPad. After all, the body size of the mobile phone is limited, especially in the folded form, and there is not enough space left for accessories.
The Apple Pencil encountered "technical problems" before mass production, and Apple therefore abandoned the product.
It is unclear whether the technical problem of the new Apple Pencil lies in the Apple Pencil itself or in the magnetic charging function of the iPhone Duo. If it's the former, Apple may still launch the accessory later.
