On March 12, Haidilao issued another statement today stating that for the 4,109 customers who ate at Haidilao's Shanghai Bund store from 00:00 on February 24 to 24:00 on March 8, the meal price for that day will be fully refunded, and an additional cash compensation of 10 times the order payment will be provided. In addition, Haidilao has filed a civil lawsuit application with the Shanghai Huangpu District Court on March 10 for the two men involved in the case, and will resolutely pursue their relevant responsibilities in accordance with the law.
Haidilao said, "We feel for the trouble and impact this incident has caused to customers and will take actions to improve management and services. We sincerely apologize to all customers again and thank you for your supervision, criticism and tolerance."
