📅 2026-09-23

Abstract:

Beats officially released the new flagship headset Beats 360. This is the first time Beats has used replaceable ear cups and headband cushion design on a headset product. Users can not only replace worn cushions, but also freely match accessories of different colors and materials according to personal preferences, dressing styles or usage scenarios, giving a pair of headphones a more personalized appearance.

Beats 360 is positioned as a high-end headset covering various scenarios such as daily commuting, office work, travel and sports. It uses a new acoustic platform and is equipped with Beats’ most advanced active noise reduction system to date. Official data shows that its overall noise reduction capability can be up to 1.75 times that of Beats Studio Pro, providing a more immersive listening experience in noisy environments.

The headphones have also been redesigned for comfort. Beats 360 adopts a re-adjusted fit structure, and acoustically optimized memory foam is used inside the ear cups to form a better sealing effect by covering the ears. The earmuffs are currently available in two different materials, among which Performance Knit functional woven fabric is more breathable and lightweight, and the other UltraPlush material emphasizes a softer wearing feel. The headband is also cushioned with memory foam, and its lightweight structure improves wearing stability.

One of the biggest design features of Beats 360 is that the ear cups and headband cushions can be independently removed and replaced. The earmuffs can be removed and installed by rotating, and the headband cushion adopts a snap-on structure and can be directly disassembled and installed. This not only facilitates users to replace worn parts after long-term use, but also prepares another set of soft pads and replaces them directly with a clean set after sweating during exercise.

Changing the cushions can also change the overall appearance of the headphones. Beats provides Cushion Kit accessories in a variety of colors and materials. The Performance Knit version is available in black, cloud white, pink, clear sky blue, navy blue and fluorescent yellow, and the UltraPlush version is available in black and cloud white. Each set of accessories includes both left and right earcups and headband cushions.

In order to adapt to sports scenes, Beats 360 is also the first Beats headset to be IPX4 sweat-proof and waterproof. That means the headphones can handle the sweat from exercise and the splashes of everyday use, but IPX4 doesn't mean they can be submerged in water. Beats therefore positions it as a headset that can be used for fitness, running and other activities.

Removable ear cups also make cleaning easier. For users who often wear headphones for exercise, the earmuffs are prone to stains and odors after long-term contact with sweat, but Beats 360 can directly remove the soft pads for cleaning. Officials recommend using a small amount of laundry detergent mixed with clean water, wiping the cushion with a lint-free cloth, then wiping with clean water and letting it dry naturally.

In terms of battery life, Beats 360 can be used continuously for up to 32 hours. Even if active noise reduction is turned on, it can provide a long playback time, so it is suitable for long commutes, long-distance travel, work and study. The headset uses a USB-C interface for charging and supports folding and storage. The body can be folded to a more compact state and comes with a woven tear-proof fabric storage box.

Beats 360 also supports spatial audio and dynamic head tracking functions, which can provide a more immersive spatial listening experience with Apple devices. The headset is compatible with both Apple and Android devices, so it is not a product designed only for Apple users. Android users can also use features such as quick pairing, automatic audio switching, and device discovery.

For calls, Beats 360 uses a beamforming microphone system and uses an AI-trained algorithm to filter environmental noise to improve vocal clarity during calls. There are also physical control buttons on both sides of the fuselage, including volume adjustment, playback and pause, answering calls, power, and listening mode switching.

Beats 360 is available in four console colors: black, cloud white, pink and clear sky blue. Each color is randomly equipped with Performance Knit earmuffs and headband cushions of the corresponding color. Users can also purchase additional Cushion Kits in other colors or materials to further change the appearance and wearing experience of the headphones.

Beats 360 is now available for order, priced at $349.99 in the United States. The price in the Chinese market is 2,999 yuan, and it will be officially launched in offline retail stores on September 24. Additional Beats 360 earmuff kits are also available for purchase at the same time, with a standard price of 399 yuan, and some markets offer limited-time discounts during the initial launch period.
