Abstract:
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman’s latest report states that Apple’s redesigned MacBook Pro is expected to be launched next month. The update is said to include a touch-enabled OLED screen and make the body "significantly lighter" by shrinking internal parts and rearranging component layout. The report did not give the specific weight or percentage after the weight loss, nor did it disclose how the internal structure was adjusted.

The rumored new phones include 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The corresponding models currently sold by Apple are equipped with M5 Pro or M5 Max chips. The 14-inch body weight is about 1.60 to 1.62 kilograms, and the 16-inch body is about 2.14 to 2.15 kilograms. These are current data, and the weight reduction of the new machine cannot be calculated based on this. Previous reports also mentioned that the new phone may adopt a thinner body, replace the notch with a smart island, and is testing macOS 27.2, but these details have not been confirmed by Apple.
There are currently different opinions on the chip configuration. GSMArena said that the new phone may use M6 and M5 Ultra, but other reports mentioned M5 Pro and M5 Max based on Gurman’s news. Apple has officially released the M6 and M5 Ultra, but they are currently used in Mac mini and Mac Studio respectively, and have not announced their use in these notebooks. The MacBook Pro currently on sale on Apple’s official website still offers M5 Pro and M5 Max, so the new machine’s chips cannot yet be determined.
Gulman previously said that the new MacBook Pro may be released in October or November, and the latest report points to next month, which is November. The specific release date, price, touch screen interaction method and complete specifications have not yet been announced; at this stage, the content related to touch screen, OLED and weight loss are media reports and revelations, rather than information officially released by Apple.
