According to Business Insider,A newly released survey by the Harvard Youth Poll shows that a large number of young Americans are worried about the impact that artificial intelligence (AI) may have on their future.

Among the young people surveyed aged 18 to 29,59% believe that AI will have an impact on their employment prospects, of which 26% believe that the threat is "serious", 33% believe that the threat is "minor", and only 23% say they are not worried at all.

Compared with traditional employment risks, young people are more worried about AI: only 48% are worried about the impact of job outsourcing, and 31% are worried about the employment impact caused by immigration.

Despite concerns, the use of AI tools remains relatively common among younger age groups. 35% of the respondents said they often use large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude, and 63% have not yet used them. More than half (52%) are willing to trust AI to assist in completing academic or work tasks.

The survey also reflects that young people generally have a pessimistic attitude towards the issue of "how AI will change work." 41% expect AI to make future jobs less meaningful, while only 14% think jobs will become more valuable as a result.Similarly, 44% are worried that AI will reduce their development opportunities, while only 14% believe that AI can create new opportunities.
