Dell has officially upgraded its XPS 16, 14 and 13 laptops with Intel's latest Core Ultra CPUs and the same stylish design language. Dell is expanding its XPS portfolio, adding new sizes and unifying names across its XPS 2024 lineup. The three products highlighted at CES2024 are XPS16, XPS14 and XPS13.

All three laptops adopt a minimalist style in design, while using CNC machined aluminum alloy bodies and Gorilla Glass 3 surfaces to bring users a stylish experience. The laptops will be available in Granite and Platinum finishes.

Dell XPS16 (9640) notebook computer is the top product in the series, equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra9185HCPU, 16 cores, clocked at 5.1GHz. The laptop can be configured with 64GB of the latest LPDDR5x-7467 memory, 4TB PCIe4SSD storage and NVIDIA RTX40708GB GPU up to 60WTDP. The screen is available in 16.3-inch FHD+ (1920x1200) InfinityEdge/120Hz or 4K+ (3840x2400) OLED/120Hz version.

Interfaces include support for the latest WIFI7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connections, a 99.5Wh battery charged via a 130W Type-C adapter, three Thunderbolt4 ports, and a starting weight of 2.1kg.

Dell XPS14 (9440) is a combination of high-performance specifications in a 14-inch class design. This notebook is equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra7165H/155HCPU, with 16 cores and a main frequency of 5.0GHz. It is also equipped with 64GB of LPDDR5x-7467 memory, 4TB of PCIe4SSD, Intel Arc integrated graphics rated at 30W and Nvidia GeForce RTX40506GB GPU, and a 14.5-inch screen. The display can choose between FHD+ (1920x1200) 120Hz or 3.2K (3200x2000) OLED120Hz panel.

Dell equipped the XPS14 with a 69.5-watt-hour battery, and the Intel Arc configuration charges via a 60W Type-C adapter, and the Nvidia RTX 4050 configuration charges via a 100W Type-C adapter. This laptop also supports WIFI6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and is equipped with three Thunderbolt4 ports, DisplayPort2.1 and a MicroSD card reader. The FHD+ model weighs 1.68 kg, and the OLED model weighs 1.74 kg.

Finally, there is the Dell XPS13, which is the ultimate mobile platform with a 13.4-inch display in FHD+, QHD+ and 3K+ resolutions, in InfinityEdge and OLED. The base weight of this laptop is only 1.19kg and the curb weight is 1.17kg. In terms of CPU, the 13 comes with CoreUltra5125H, CoreUltra7155H and up to CoreUltra7165H. It also supports LPDDR5x memory with a maximum capacity of 64GB and a speed of 7467MT/s. Offering WIFI7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, it also offers dual Thunderbolt4 ports and is powered by a 55Wh battery via a 60WType-C adapter.

Since the XPS13 only comes with an Intel Arci GPU, its streamlined design does have some limitations, but even so, it's adequate for lightweight gaming and rendering tasks.

In terms of price, the Dell XPS16 is expected to start at US$1,899 (US)/US$2,549 (Canadian dollars), the Dell XPS14 is expected to start at US$1,699 (US)/US$2,299 (Canadian dollars), and the Dell XPS13 is expected to start at US$1,299 (US) and US$1,749 (Canadian dollars). Availability will be announced soon, and we expect these laptops to start shipping in the first quarter of 2024.
