Abstract:
Apple recently quietly updated its charging accessories product line, officially launching a new version of the World Travel Adapter Kit (global travel conversion plug set). It also updated its 70W power adapter, 140W power adapter, power extension cable and other products, and fully introduced the new "AC Connector 2" interface design.

The new accessories released this time are already on sale in the Apple online store in the United States and many countries and regions. Among them, the returned global travel adapter set is priced at US$39 in the US market. The product was previously removed from Apple's online store in 2025 and is now available again after a redesign.
The new version of the package includes five replaceable AC plugs covering major travel destinations around the world. Among them, type A plug is suitable for North America and Japan, type C plug is suitable for continental Europe and Brazil, type D plug is suitable for India, type G plug is suitable for the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, and type I plug is suitable for countries and regions such as Australia and New Zealand.
Apple said that users can use these conversion plugs to allow compatible Apple power adapters to be directly connected to local power sockets to safely charge devices during international travel.
The biggest change in this upgrade comes from the new AC Connector 2 design. Apple pointed out in the latest support document that the new power adapter, extension cord and travel plug all use the pill-shaped AC Connector 2 interface to meet the latest regulatory requirements. The previous AC Connector 1 used a traditional design with a notch.

In fact, Apple began to gradually promote the AC Connector 2 standard in some countries earlier this year. However, due to compatibility differences between the old and new standards, some users have reported that the new power adapter cannot be used properly with the old power extension cord and the old travel adapter set.
In order to completely solve this problem, Apple has comprehensively updated related accessories this time, making power adapters, power extension cords, and travel conversion plug sets all compatible with the AC Connector 2 standard.
According to information released by Apple, the current new version of the travel conversion plug set supports the use of the two latest power adapters, 70W and 140W. For MacBook users who frequently travel abroad, this update means they can continue to get a consistent power supply experience in more countries and regions, while avoiding compatibility issues caused by changes in interface standards.
As the new version of AC Connector 2 gradually replaces the old design, Apple is further unifying its power accessories ecosystem and providing global users with a more consistent cross-regional charging solution through the updated travel conversion plug set.
